Should I tell him....
... that I did some research and found some indiscrepancies with what he's told me? Give him a chance to explain?
Or should I just ignore all my newly discovered information and continue acting as if I'm none the wiser?
If you were me, what would you do?

I'd ask him if he's being truthful about everything else after having discovered he wasn't exactly truthful to you previously. I wouldn't let it slide if it were making me uneasy. Neither should you & apparently, it really seems to be bothering you. So might as well ask. :)
